Current Travel Plans

So, it's been a while.  I figured it was time to update just in case anyone wanted to read about me.  I am still in San Antonio, TX.  Love living here.  I went to New Orleans for Mardi Gras and had a fantastic time. What can you take away from that trip to plan yours?  The crowds on Bourbon Street are hard core.  Go early and leave early unless you are on a balcony.  The parades are fantastic.  You will get beads.  Don't be a prude and think that the people with beads are tramps because the truth of it is that the floats throw beads out like it is going out of style and the people with the most goodies in the end are the little kids.  Don't think that you need to party to enjoy Mardi Gras.  It just isn't true.  I am not much of a partier and Mardi Gras is not the time to party in New Orleans.  Too many people make moving difficult and increase the risk that you will end up somewhere you shouldn't be.  Thinking of taking the kids to see the floats but worried about the "enviroment"?  Don't be.  Stay on St. Charles street and you have nothing to worry about, all the bad things are too old for them to get.  Last thing to say about it, you will not see any pictures of that awesome trip.  I literally didn't take even one photo.  Sorry, I will try to do better next time.
So, now that I have told you all about that I thought I would share my plans for the rest of my Vacation time.  Those most holy days have not all been allotted to specific trips but the majority of them have been assigned to my trip to Europe this coming Sept-Oct.  Yes folks, I will be wandering in Europe this fall!  I am super excited.  I won the tickets and am getting a great discount on the EuroRail pass so I will not have to spend an arm and a leg to do this.  I am hoping to go to: Switzerland, Italy, Greece, Austria, the Czech Republic, Germany, France and Great Britain with the possibility of a little bit of Spain.  It is still a long way off so we are working with the dates and places but I can honestly say that I am super excited!  Will update as I go along.
How you are having a wonderful day!
