I thought I should give an updated. I stayed in San Antonio, Texas. I currently live in a cute little apartment with no furniture but it totally has walls and a roof and is way more spacious than my car so I really can't complain. Sadly, I have been home to South Dakota but I wish the circumstances hadn't made going home needful. I wanted to go home for my friend Michelle's 21st birthday but instead I went home for my grandpa's funeral. I am really grateful that I was able to go home but I wish that it had been a happier occasion. But I will not dwell because it will make me a sad sap for the rest of the day. Soooo. What is it like here? I really like it. The weather can't be beat right now, but that should be obvious right? I am in the south in winter. I have been assured that it has snowed here before but this last winter it didn't even freeze, not even once and I say this last winter because it is spring now. Yep, spring in February. Apparently, the pools start opening around Easter so that is something to look forward to, right? I am way more excited though about the opening of Fiesta Texas next month, as in next week! Rollercoasters! I want rollercoasters! For Christmas my sister gave me a season pass to Fiesta Texas and with my Christmas money I got season pass parking and I live within a few minutes of the park. How do I know that? Well, over Christmas they opened the park for a couple weeks and I went like 6 times! They only had a few of the coasters open but it was still awesome and I avoided most of the crowd getting my pass. So now I can just go and not worry about the drama. I have also got my Texas driver's license and Texas plates. I almost cried when they took my South Dakota license but I was strong and handed it over without too much fuss and I would just like to say that Texas is way more expensive than South Dakota in this regard and the license feels cheaper and is mailed to you instead of being printed right there. Not impressed Texas! Anyway, I will go cause I have to start getting ready for work.
Love you all!
